A cosy retreat with forest views. Very comfortable beds and shower rooms. Well kitted our kitchen and comfortable sitting room area. Lovely log fire. Quite a lot of stairs to negotiate if you are travelling with kids and can’t park the car next to the property but otherwise a lovely spot.

Fantastic location, close to town only a 15 minute stroll. Very clean & beautifully decorated. Big king beds & en-suites. We stayed during winter & the inside fire was a perfect addition, such a cosy stay. The house would be amazing in summer too. Highly recommended. We also saw a koala from the balcony in the trees above which made our trip! We can’t wait to stay again. Also note we stayed with our 3 month old baby & although the house is set across 3 levels with stairs it was the perfect place for a family getaway. Check in process couldn’t have been smoother.

Love...Love...Loved this property! Very accommodating with everything you could possibly need during your stay. Located in a quiet neighborhood and just a short walk along the river to town! Great shopping and places to eat! Beds are extremely comfortable and linens are provided. This is a multi level home with stairs and a steep driveway. So be aware if you have any physical issues. Beautifully styled bush outlook home with a short stroll down the private track along the river through the caravan park to the shops for coffee or breakfast. we had a lovely time and stay with the house feeling cosy and homely. Loved the access to foxtel and Netflix for the kids and the king size beds were very comfortable It was a little annoying we couldn’t use the driveway or the carport to unload our car in the pouring rain as host advised its to steep and not suitable for use Overall we enjoyed our stay

Fantastic Location and an incredibly spacious and relaxing space that accommodated our 5 day stay perfectly. A great blend of nature and homeliness, we all felt safe and welcomed. Ideally located in walking distance from Lorne, close(ish) to the supermarket, and on the doorstep of the creek and walk up to Erskine Falls. Two identical rooms setup for couples (king beds with ensuites) means this is perfect for adult friends holidaying. Internet was good enough to work down there (zoom, teams etc). Kitchen was setup well enough for us to cook meals on several nights. Super comfortable and an easy stay!

Great location, walking distance to shops, restaurants and supermarket, as well as to the beach and forest walks. Beautiful and quiet setting. Well equipped kitchen with everything needed to self-cater including lots of cooking utensils and basic condiments such as oil, salt, pepper, coffee. Good communication and easy self check-in. Good information provided about the area including the shops, restaurants, walks, activities etc. Note access to the apartment includes steep driveway / stairs to the front door and internal stairs are in the apartment. This was not an issue for us but may be for anyone who is movement impaired. We loved our stay and would stay again when in Lorne.

This house checks all the boxes and was a great place! It is in a quiet street but also close to the main part of Lorne. The creek that runs out the back is beautiful and peaceful. One feature we were really happy about was that both bedrooms had an ensuite which makes a difference in everyone’s comfort level. The fireplace kept the house nice and cosy.

The River house is great. The location is perfect convenience and a bush setting! The patio and eating area overlooks the picturesque Erskine River giving the property a lush feel of the bush and the walking track to the Erskine falls is at the bottom of the garden. Yet it’s a mere 5 minute walk to a supermarket and a cool little bar, and another 5 minutes walk to the main Lorne shopping centre and beach. The house is lovely. The kitchen is well provisioned, the lounge comfortable and the 2 bedrooms enormous. Do beware that the block is quite steep, and split on 3 levels. It’s not the property for anyone with mobility issues..

two couples, each with infants and the space was brilliant. Communication was proactive, friendly, responsive and everything check-in/check-out wise was done very well. The space was really nice, well thought through, spacious, well furnished, beautiful back porch with outdoor dining, private access to Erskine falls walking track, modern TV + subscriptions, and the kitchen was well equipped with appliances and utensils. We were proactively offered complimentary early check-in and late check-out, which was so helpful with managing the young ones. We will absolutely be back, and can only recommend this place. Be aware that there is only 1 designated car space, but after ringing the host they suggested an alternative spot for our second car 20 metres away which was absolutely feasible.

We stayed here for a conference (three people in total). The house is quite spacious and in a very quiet area in Lorne. It is approximately a 10 min walk from the main strip, so easy to get to. We would happily return, as everything was so nice and tidy. Overall I highly rate this stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at River House no. 1. It was a lovely location by the river, among the tall eucalypts, which were teeming with birds. Shops, restaurants and the beach were a short walk away, as was the supermarket for supplies. Lorne is a beautiful town, and the perfect place for a short break.

The house was clean and had everything we needed. Felt very homely. The only negative was that the car space provided was only suitable for a small car.
