Secluded hideaway
River House 2 is located in a beautiful, secluded bush setting, yet its only a hop, skip and a jump from the town centre!
Guests can stroll down the private walking track to Erskine River and follow along to the supermarket which is just 400m away, or less than 1km to the centre of town and the beach.
Turn left along the walking track and your only minutes away from the Erskine rapids. For the adventurous bush walkers, you can walk all the way to Erskine Falls, about 7km’s away.
River House 2 is a stylish and cosy 2-bedroom holiday home that would suit couples or a family.

Just off each bedroom is a little retreat room complete with couches and a smart TV so you can kick back and relax. The main living area has a stylish kitchen and a sunken lounge area with smart TV and fireplace. The dining area opens onto a spacious deck area, perfect for evening barbecues with family and friends. The sounds of wildlife and the flowing river will leave you feeling refreshed and energised.
*Please note, wood for the fireplace will be provided during April - mid October. BYO firewood for any stays outside these months.
* Driveway to front door is very steep and not able to be used. Parking is off street at the top of the driveway and guests must walk down slope or stairs (20 metres) to get to the house. Please call us if you require further clarification.

03/2020This was a lovely house with a pleasant ambience and was well equipped with everything you need, even games and books for the children. The amenities were all good quality, the beds were amazingly comfortable, and the two bathrooms were very handy. The location was fabulous, just a short walk down the private zig zag track at the rear of the property takes you through to a pretty shaded clearing by the river, left at the clearing takes you on a nice walk up to the rapids or right and another short stroll brings you out near the supermarket and the swing bridge or stroll a bit further to the bakery or Happy Hour at Mantra !! The deck off the meals area was very peaceful with little wrens visiting in the morning and the lights in the trees at night gave the walking track down to the river a magical fairy-land feel. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to Lorne.

07/2020'I loved this home for a winter stay. It provided generous accommodation for me and my son for 4 days, my husband for 2 of those days and a lunch opportunity for a daughter and boyfriend's visit. We self catered and with the supermarket a short walk away, found we had all we needed to cook at home. While the rooms experience only dappled light in winter, there are multiple options to keep the place well lit and warm. I loved the layout and styling of the building most of all.'

02/2021'This place is absolutely stunning. So incredibly spacious and just all round peaceful. This place was exactly what we needed to disconnect and relax. Literally a 10 min walk from the Main Street which just made out trip that much better - however still so quiet. The natural scenery was gorgeous, and the backyard leads you to a creek and trek to Erskine Falls! 10/10 would recommend this stay to anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday.'
