We thought we would take this opportunity to share some of our local knowledge on Lorne's top events and activities for the Melbourne Cup Long Weekend.

- Foreshore Market (Sat, 2nd Nov): Handmade crafts, treats, and art at Lorne P-12 College.

- Live Wire: Non-stop family fun!

- Lorne Bowling Club: Enjoy barefoot bowls (for groups of up to 8), delicious Italian inspired cuisine, or just pop down for a drink at the bar.

- Ipsos restaurant is a Lorne institution known for its traditional Greek food and excellent service.

- The Grand Pacific Hotel has re-opened and is looking magnificent after its recent restoration : Savor Italian-inspired dishes, pub fare, and happy hour (4pm start). Enjoy sitting outside in the alfresco area or in the iconic “Fishos” bar.

- Salonika Social is a new dine in Pizzeria. Make sure you enjoy the starters and desserts as well for the full experience and the even fuller belly!

- feeling inspired for Mexican…enjoy funky vibes, Mexican cuisine and the best margaritas in town!

If your craving time in nature, make sure you pop into the Lorne Information Centre to get the local knowledge on nearby bushwalks and waterfalls.

HAH café at the beach front has boards and wetsuits for hire.
