Nice to go to a place of accommodation that actually thinks outside the square in relation to platters, glad wrap, foil, paper towel, toilet paper, condiments, everything I bought with me as places I’ve stayed before you have to go and purchase. Lots of crockery cutlery and wine glasses a great bonus, they always also seem to be minimal, but not here. Great job..

Loved this property - the location is perfect. An easy walk into town and the hiking track from Lorne to Erskine Falls is literally at the bottom of the property - a spectacular 15km day hike. Erskine Flats are less than five minutes, a beautiful place to soak in the fresh water and then lie and try on the flat riverbed rocks. Sublime!

We were so happy with our stay. The place is located close to the Main Street, but you get the the benefits of the bush setting (albeit the neighbours are quite close!). The place itself was so clean and the furniture really comfortable and good quality. We really felt at home. The hosts were also very accomodating regarding reorganising the stay with COVID restrictions. Would highly recommend for families and couples.

The Nest was a beautiful home away from home- warm and cosy, spotless and only a short walk to Lorne. So well suited for our family of 4 & the kids loved the parrots that visited each morning on the gorgeous balcony that backed onto uninterrupted bush land. The sound of the creek just at the bottom of the hill was so lovely to wake up to. Thanks again!

“The Nest” in Lorne is perfect for a quiet getaway for families or couples. Access to town is a short walk via a track at the rear of the property leading down to the river. The property has all the facilities for short or long stays, with a great outdoor dining area on the deck. Our hosts from Lorne Holiday Stays were fantastic.

My family and I had a fantastic time staying here - it has everything you'd need for a great stay - short walk to the shops and town, a nature track from the backyard that leads directly to the river or a 7.5km nature walk to Erskine Falls, great facilities for cooking, with indoor and outdoor dining, a fireplace and efficient heater for cold evenings. The space indoors is spacious with 2 couch and tv areas for families. We especially liked the view of surrounding trees in the main living area. A minor thing - the house is situated on a slope and the driveway can be tricky to come in/out, lower cars may risk scraping along it. Otherwise, highly recommended!

We stayed at The Nest for four nights with our extended family and it was PERFECT!! The house has great ammenities. We cooked in every night and it was made so easy as the kitchen has everything you need. It was clean and tidy with great bedrooms and bathrooms. It was also great to have all our linen provided and beds made upon arrival! Beautiful views of the bush and it was so lovely to hear the river flowing. The fire was such a bonus!! I honestly could not recommend this property more. We absolutely loved our stay!

Amazing house for our group of 8 mums on a getaway! so clean, cosy, spacious. The location was great, views from balcony peaceful. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable, heaters in every room and linen and towels provided. The driveway is pretty steep but space for 2 cars to park easily.

Had a great stay. The place was very neat and tidy with nice furnishings. House has a great layout with upstairs/downstairs living rooms and bedrooms. Beds very comfortable and great, cosy warm fire place. Very nice surroundings with beautiful bushland views. Even spotted a koala in a tree. Very quiet and peaceful at night. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend staying here. It's a beautiful house! There is no need to go out in Lorne, just stay here by the fire! You're surrounded by wildlife too. A koala climbed up the tree next to the house while we were there - you don't see that everyday!

The Nest was the perfect location for our weekend away. Lots of room for our party of 8. We were impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was. The rain welcomed, as it was so nice and cosy by the fireplace. We didn’t need to leave the house.

Perfect for 6 of us. A lot bigger than we thought. The place had two sitting rooms which was a bonus. Bedrooms were all spacious and beds very comfy. Bedrooms were immaculate, as was the whole place. Not far away for the town centre / beach and easy to get to Erskine Waterfall and Livewire. Kitchen was extremely well stocked - from ketchup / salt and Pepper to an abundance of glasses / mugs / oven trays. Eating was made easy with plenty of eating space. Two bathrooms both have plenty of space (one downstairs and one up). There is a spiral staircase to the downstairs section but it has grips on each step so wasn’t a concern. The driveway is quite steep so would recommended reversing down and driving straight back up. Our 4x4 car struggled slightly reversing back out the driveway. We would definitely stay here again. No complaints at all.
